If you’re like most Americans who overindulged this Thanksgiving you may be thinking about a new exercise regime (hopefully before Christmas!). If you’re diabetic there is news on what sort of exercise is most beneficial.
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that a combination of both aerobic and resistance training are most effective at helping to control blood sugar in those with Type 2 diabetes (compared to doing either alone). Study participants who engaged in both types of exercise also showed increases in peak oxygen intake and lost more weight than others.
