Description: ReVision Formula is based on the classic formula Rambling Powder (Xiao Yao San) which includes Bupleurem, Dong Guai, White Peony, Poria, Atractylodes and Licorice, plus additional herbs Tree Peony, Ginger, Gardenia, Coleus, Gingko, Milk Thistle, Dandelion, Eyebright, Bilberry and Hoelen.

This formula comes in a tincture, and helps improve conditions relating to glaucoma, macular degeneration and floaters by helping to improve blood circulation and eliminating stagnation of energy to the eyes.
Recommended dosage is 1/2 dropperful (approximately 12-15 drops) 2 times a day for prevention, or 3 times a day for treatment. Best times to take the herbs are when you get up in the morning, and when you go to sleep at night. Best taken on an empty stomach.
Note: This product is only to be taken orally. It is not an eyedrop.

Herb descriptions are as follows:

Coleus (Coleus forskohlii) is an herb in the mint family that is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine. Studies have shown that coleus will lower intraocular pressure by relaxing smooth muscles in the eye. It also has antihistamine properties, which may reduce the allergic component of increased eye pressure.

Gingko (Gingko biloba) has been shown to increase visual acuity in people with macular degeneration. It increases blood circulation to the head, which includes the brain and the eyes, so it can speed healing of all of the tissues associated with vision.

Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinalis radix) is another universal liver tonic, aiding in the digestion and balancing of blood sugar levels, which combine to create good health for the eyes. In addition, dandelion contains antioxidants to help tissues stay healthy.

Eyebright (Euphrasis officinalis) has been known throughout history as an effective herb to help tonify the eyes.

Milk Thistle (silybum marianum) is an excellent liver tonic. It increases the flow of bile from the liver, helping to detoxify poisons in our bloodstream. It nourishes the liver, reducing stress and increasing energy throughout the body.

Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), the European version of the blueberry, has been called the vision herb for its powerful effect on all types of visual disorders. Research has shown that bilberry can improve night vision, relieve visual fatigue, and protect the eyes from glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Bilberry improves the delivery of oxygen and blood to the eyes, strengthens the capillaries that feed the eye muscles and nerves, and works as an anitoxidant to inhibit damage by free radicals.

Bupleurem (umbelliferae) improve the free flow of energy in the body.

Gardenia (rubiaceae) reduces heat in the body allowing better free flow of energy.

Client Comments

I was diagnosed with glaucoma at the relatively young age of 53. I started drop therapy and found I was highly allergic to all but two. The drops worked to lower my pressures for almost a year, but then my pressures started to creep up again. I had run out of options for drop therapy and was facing laser surgery when I found your website and ordered some of your recommended products for Glaucoma. I convinced my ophthamologist to delay laser surgery while I gave your products a chance.

I am so excited and grateful to report that after using your recommended products for Glaucoma, Coleus Forskohlii and Revision Formula, my IOP went from 19 to 14 in 7 weeks! Laser surgery is cancelled, and my ophthamologist asked me to bring the herbs in at my next checkup because he "wants to see what I'm taking."

Thanks so much for your wonderful products and support.

-- J. Larrabee, (1/1/06)

I have been taking the Coleus Forskolii now as directed with the Revision formula 2x /day for my Glaucoma. I had my pressure taken yesterday and it was the lowest it has been I think since I developed this disease. It was 13 in one eye and 11 in the other. My overall vision improved as well. My eye doctor said that I could possibly cut back on the Alphagan next time I see her if the pressure continues in that range. In general they used to be anywhere from 20, 17 and then I used to get spikes where the pressure would go up 20-30. I have been taking alpha lipoic acid as you directed and the fish oil caps and NOW Eco-Green multivitamins.

Thank you very much for all your help and for taking the time to answer my questions.

-- Sincerely, L. Lydon (9/2005)
