Oclumed Eye Drops 15ml Bottle

Great antioxidant eye drop formula for ocular health & clarity and lens support. The ingredients in the formulation provide powerful antioxidants and nutrients for eye health.

  • L-Carnosine is an antioxidant found mostly in muscle and brain cells and is a powerful free radical fighter.
  • N-Acetyl-L-Carnosine, also commonly found in muscle tissue, and is an amino acid. It is especially effective against free radicals in the eye. It endures and remains active in cells for some time, which provides extended term of protection.
  • L-Glutathione is another powerful antioxidant used by the eyes, especially in the lens. It helps prevent the binding of sugars to protein molecules within the eye. This process is known as glycation and is a major contributor to forming cataracts.
  • Cysteine Ascorbate provides a source of Vitamin C, another important antioxidant in the eye.
  • L-Cysteine is used to regenerate L-Glutathione which converts to its oxidized form in the process of breaking disulfide bonds.
  • L-Taurine supports the regeneration and elimination of worn-out cell tissue
  • Riboflavin Monophosphate - more soluable form of riboflavin, vitamin B2

Inactive ingredients: Sterile water, propylene glycol (0.2 %), polysorbate 80 (0.2 %). There are no preservatives added.

Suggested Use: One drop in each eye 3 times a day. After initial period, a lower maintenance dosage is 1 to 2 drops in each eye daily.

Ocumed causes discomfort Review by Connie
I'm 75 and have cataracts. I live in Educador and eat a healthy, mostly raw organic vegetable and fruit and egg diet supplemented with chicken, seafood. I had almost perfect vision for many years prior to the cataracts. I have been using your Cineraria drops for 12 months. The floaters have disappeared and my depth perception has returned. My writing, computer work and reading are only slightly impacted. Lights have halos and are broken into a dozen pieces. My distance vision is mainly affcted, reading signs, distinguishing faces etc.

I ordered the Ocumed Eye Drops as a second supplement but have been reluctant to use them as they cause discomfort when the drops nit my eye. There was no redness, swelling, etc. The instructions said to disontinue after 72 hours if discomfort persisted. What is causing the discomfort? Your recommendation please.

It is common for the Oclumed to sting a little for a few seconds, but should clear up after that with no redness or irritation. However, let us know if it continues for more than a few moments. You can email us at info@naturaleyecare.com or call us.

A few people have commented that the eyedrops don't sting when used in the morning when our eyes are not so tired, but do tend to sting in the evening after a long day.

working well Review by Shelly T
After using Oclumed for nearly two months, I have begun to experience notable improvement in my eyesight, particularly in night driving. I have been diagnosed with "moderate" cataracts and am reluctant to have surgery for various reasons so I am very encouraged about this progress.

I also have been noticing subtle, but definitely sharper clarity when looking in the mirror to apply make-up and a slight increase in my reading ability when caught without my prescription glasses.

This product is working well although it offers incremental benefits and demands patience, but it is SO worth it. I see my ophthalmologist at the end of this month so it should be interesting to see what he observes. Highly recommend Oclumed and the excellent customer service offered by Michael.

Difference Review by Cindy
What's the difference between this and the Can-C drops other than a huge difference in price? I've been using the can c drops for five months but haven't yet seen my eye Dr to tell if there's been any improvement in my mild cataracts.

I've heard good things about Oclumed and can c but curious if one is better than the other?

Both are good eyedrops that have the potential for helping with cataracts. The Oclumed has certain advantages as it includes a wider range of antioxidants in it: Glutathione, Ascorbic Acid, L-Carnosine and L-Cysteine.

How much sodium bicarbonate? Review by GB
It has all the other % except this.

Answer: the manufacturer is slow to answer the question, although on their site they don't list sodium bicarbonate as an ingredient.

Update: According to the manufacturer, this product does not contain sodium bicarbonate. (Reviewed in 2017)
cataract / AMD improvement Review by Bob D.
Hi Michael,
I have been taking the products you recommended for three weeks now and I cannot believe the improvement of my vision. I have cateracts in both eyes and macular degeneration. Three weeks ago I was leary of driving my car when it was overcast and now I can see very clearly!!! This is amazing. I do not know why more people do not know about these products.

OcluMed eyes drops seem to be best of all eye drops!!!

Thanks so much for giving me my eye sight back!!!!

Warm regards,

PRA success Review by Terri
Hi Michael,

My Australian Cattle Dog, Bindi, is on many of your wonderfully effective products formulated for Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). I wrote you to let you know how well Bindi was doing on your eye products and how I was able to still compete with her in AKC obedience trials. Bindi did indeed attain her Utility Dog title and won it with ALL first place ribbons!!! She could have never achieved her title without her eyesight and I am so glad that my research efforts led to your products. Now we are preparing for yet another performance title in IPO.

I had to take Bindi to her veterinarian, Dr. Jim Mathias, Tipp City Animal Hospital in Tipp City, Ohio. He told me her eyes were nearly perfect and I told him about the clouding she started exhibiting from toxic cataracts. I showed him the Oclumed and Cineraria drops I use in her eyes. He was very impressed and said he had not to date found an eye product that is effective for cataracts. He read the bottles and asked me for your website information. His practice is very large and is state-of-the-art so I am hoping he will start recommending your products because I know what they do for my dog!

Thank you again and I will continue to sing your praises.

Eyes are clear again Review by Terry R.
My PRA-affected dog is on the Cineraria drops as well as the OcluMed drops. Her eyes were clouding and within only one week are clear again. I am NOT imagining this and other people have noticed as well.

Thank you for your recommendations. (Reviewed in 2015)
Night driving is easier Review by Steven
Night vision has improved and also keeps the floaters away. (Reviewed in 2014)
Improvement Review by M.N.
. . . On the third day of use I noticed that objects no longer appeared to be just blobs. I could make out the faint edges and outlines of the objects I was looking at. Last night I found that I was no longer hugging against walls in the hallways or reaching out to find door knobs until I could actually get it in my hand. Instead I was walking down the center of the hall and could see the outline of the door and door knob and took hold of the door knob without having to feel around for it. . . .
